Coaching and training for professional examinations
Many students want to prepare for the professionalexaminations of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD), but are not able to attend residential courses.
The Brilliant Beer Company offers a web or CD based self study programme, with continuous assessment and feedback and personal coaching by our expert team of tutors.
The self-study learning programme covers the three different levels of IBD qualifications:
Entry
level – General Certificate accredited by City & Guilds at level
2
• For 2005 – General Certificate in Brewing & Packaging
which will be divided to become two – General Certificate in Brewing
andGeneral Certificate in Brewing Packaging for May 2006.
• We can also help with the – General Certificate in Distilling
in association with specialists in Distilling.
These courses are available to be run locally and for individual companies
Intermediate
- Technical Training – Diploma (formally AME)
• Diploma 1 – Material and Wort
• Diploma 2 – Yeast and Beer
• Diploma 3 – Process Engineering and Packaging
These courses are available to be run locally and for individual companies
Advanced
– Master Brewer (formally DMB)
• The Science of Material and Wort
• Fermentation and Beer Processing
• Packaging and Beer Dispense
• Central Functions
• Case Study
These courses will be run in partnership with UK IBD sections and individual
companies
